How We Work

The Northern journey starts with a first visit to the client’s property. We discuss how the given space can be maximised, brainstorm design ideas and most importantly, listen to the client’s ideas and wishes. We realise that no two homes are the same – that’s why we see each project as a one-off and apply our expertise specifically to suit individual needs. One of the main purposes of the initial visit is to estimate the budget of the design proposal.

All our projects begin with a design proposal, which documents the client’s ideas for their ideal kitchen. We develop the proposal from conversations with client and site visits. At this stage, initial price estimation can be provided to give the idea of cost. This price can change at later stages if changes to the initial proposal are made in future planning stages.

Once the client approves the proposal, we begin to design the kitchen. This process usually involves several design meetings with client during which we will typically present client with 2 or 3 design solutions for optimal use of space. We work closely with the client, listening and making changes to make their dream kitchen a reality. In the end, we present the client with the final design proposal, which includes detailed room drawings, 3D design plans and final price breakdown. The client then has the option to go ahead and commission the project by signing a contract of sale.

Once a client commissions the kitchen, we begin manufacturing process. Unlike many other kitchen companies, we make all our kitchen furniture to order. We communicate with other contractors, such as electricians, tillers etc and make arrangements for the convenient installation. If the client requires additional services such as mentioned above, we can provide trained specialists for all their kitchen needs.
